This site contains documentary videos and films made at Mata Mata and Gi'kal in North East Arnhem land, Australia. The videos are owned by community members and all revenue from this site go back to supporting the community including power, school, transport, housing. It was the vision of the visionary leader Mrs. Batumbil Burarrwanga (1956-2018) that Mata Mata be a place of deep learning not just cultural tourism where people come and pay for a short term experience. Mrs Burarrwangas children and grand children and wider relations carry on her legacy.
